HOUSING

Housing Possibilities Include:
· Villa Godiola Residence Halls—double and triple rooms with private bathrooms
· Arezzo Apartments—shared with students and within walking distance of the school

Undergraduate students are required to live in ADA-sponsored housing. Our housing accommodations are variable but of high standard. While studying at the Accademia most students will live and work at the Villa Godiola, a private villa located in the hills overlooking Arezzo. This is where students attend class, have meals, live and socialize with their fellow classmates.

If for some reason there is overflow or we cannot accomodate all of the students at the Villa for a particular term, arrangements will be made to secure off-campus housing in the city of Arezzo, a short walk from the Villa Godiola and our secondary studio space, La Stalla located in the city itself.

MEALS

All meals are prepared by our on-staff cook and her kitchen team. Italian family-style breakfast and lunch will be served  to all students each day there are classes. When there are no classes in the afternoon dinner will not be served that day, this is most often on a day when students are travelling or are on break for an observed holiday.  Students will always be made aware of the meal schedule in advance so they may make other arrangements if necessary.

Undergraduate Programs: Italian family style meals are only provided on days classes are in session.
Monday - Friday Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (if classes are scheduled in the afternoon)

Financial Aid FAQ

Do you offer any scholarships or financial aid at ADA?
Financial aid is handled on a case by case basis to try and make it possible for any student to attend the Accademia. As an approved program at your school you may be able to receive some portion if not the same amount of financial assistance you currently receive, but you must be in touch with your financial aid office to coordinate that.

For additional financial aid information contact Linda Brown at lbrown@dell-arte.org.

Can I do work study while at the Accademia?

The Accademia does offer a Program Assistant position with some tuition assistance included. Interested students can download the application here: ADA Program Assistant Application.pdf

I currently receive financial aid through my home university, will that aid apply to my semester at the Accademia?
As a student attending the Accademia dell’Arte for college credit, you would be considered a student of Hendrix College, our accrediting partner, during your semester at the Accademia. Your transcript for the semester would come from Hendrix.

In order to qualify for all possible financial aid, you would ask the financial aid department of your school to contact the financial aid director at Hendrix and request a consortium agreement. Once that is signed, you would apply directly with the Financial Aid office at your school, even though you wouldn’t be attending there during your study abroad semester.

The contact information:

Kris Burford, Director of Financial Aid, Hendrix College
Burford@hendrix.edu
phone 501- 450-1368
fax 501-450-3871

Once you have completed this process and know what aid is possible, THEN let us know if you need added financial aid, and what amount is needed. Although most Accademia scholarships are tied to specific schools, it may be possible to find a partial scholarship based on need.
