The Accademia dell'Arte is an exciting new study abroad program that has quickly gained a notable reputation from both our participants and collaborators in the world of performing arts. As a program that is virtually unique in Europe, we are dedicated to providing an extraordinary experience for students currently studying and training in Theatre, Vocal Arts and Dance who wish to extend their horizons with an intensive period of training, studying and performing in Italy.

The Accademia has designed a program that facilitates university and college students of the performing arts, both undergraduate and post-graduate, to experience the marvelous tapestry of Italian culture while gaining insight and experience in the world of European Theatre, Vocal Arts and Dance.

Today, more than ever, the world of performance is developing in a context of cross-cultural exchange, opening opportunities unimagined until recently. The Accademia seeks to encourage these opportunities by exposing students to modern practices as well as traditions of Italian and other European artists. It is only through direct contact and collaboration that a new energetic and creative spirit can flourish.

Students who come to study with us in Arezzo will find themselves engaged and challenged by practicing artists and teachers with diverse philosophies who will encourage the highest level of individual expression, but who also understand that learning is a collaborative effort. To this end, the Accademia is genuinely an artistic collective in which the student will enter into a community with ongoing artistic activities nourished through close collaboration.

Every student at the Accademia, in addition to regular studies in the liberal and performing arts, will have exceptional performance opportunities organized by the school within the grounds of the Villa Godiola, the Accademia's permanent home on a promontory overlooking the walled city of Arezzo. Student visits to the elegant opera houses, churches and historic piazzas of the region provide further occasions for performance on some of the programs.
