UNDERGRADUATE APPLICATION FAQs


What is your admissions policy?   
Accademia dell'Arte has a modified rolling admissions policy. This means that it is important to apply early as some programs fill prior to their stated application deadlines.  We must receive all pieces of your application in order to process it.

When do I fill out which part of the application?   
See the deadline dates above for packet A of your application. Concurrently, students must download and complete the Semester Programs Enrollment Forms - Packet B2 in order to secure your enrollment in Italy.

Do you need any supplemental materials from me?   
If you are applying for the Fall Semester Music Program we require submission of supplemental materials by July 1. Details are outlined in the Music Application Packet A. For further information or questions, contact info@dell-arte.org.

Those applying for the dance program may also be requested to submit supplemental materials, including a video, on a case by case basis. Please see the Dance Application Packet A for more details.
   
Do you offer any scholarships or financial aid?

How do I know if I’ve been accepted?
Upon submission of all application documents required, your application will be reviewed by our staff and a decision will be made. If necessary, we will forward the application to Italy and/or our supplemental materials consultants for approval and processing.

How long will it take to know if I’ve been accepted?   
Within two-four weeks our US office will notify you of the admissions decision.

Are there any deposits required to secure my place in the program?
If you are accepted, semester program students will be asked to submit a confirmation deposit of  $1000. The confirmation deposit will be applied toward your program cost and is non-refundable except under specific conditions outlined in our Payments and Withdrawals Policy.
   
How do I secure housing?   
All undergraduate students live and work at the Villa Godiola while attending the Accademia. A housing security deposit will be required for all programs by personal check for a total of $150 USD made out to the Accademia dell'Arte and must be presented on-site in Italy at orientation. This is refundable, less any damage fees, after your program. You can find out more about housing in the Pre-departure Guide.
